Personal Statement:

I grew up with an intense love of documenting special moments, a love that was practiced from various members of my fragmented family. The one thread that secretly connected them all in my eyes, was an intimate love and care of family photo albums.

One of my grandmothers was intensely captured by the process of photographing. It didn't matter what event or place; there were always photos. The final result of a decent looking image was always in mind, but not necessarily in pursuit. My mother being influenced by this, took it upon herself to unknowingly carry the legacy of documenting her family as well. I formed my vision of the world in tandem with color film cameras, film negatives and going to CVS on photo pick up day.

This is an ongoing series of moments captured from various rolls of 120mm Kodak Portra film found in my cabinet from 2017 - 2022.
